This weekend I’m doing an art show on New Jersey’s Long Beach Island and am fortunate to stay with my good friends Marilyn Dillon and Brian Horton. They’ve had a home on LBI for many years, although they took a pretty good wallop by Hurricane Sandy. They had 40” of salt water in the house, which, of course, destroyed pretty much everything. They have rebuilt the house and it looks great.
Each night they and their neighbors stroll down to the end of their street and watch the sun set. It is a great tradition and they have good time talking to everyone. Tonight’s sunset was pretty nice, although everyone said “You should have been here last night.” I’ve heard that before and I’m sure it was great, but it was good fun to share this one with them.
