Description

It pains me to get out of bed early enough to be in a good location for sunrise, but it is always worth the effort. Just before the sun came up, ground fog rolled over Marsh-Billings National Park in Woodstock, VT. I love the way fog looks as the sun shines through it and I was excited by the way the tree and the fog worked together. I heard geese squawking in the distance and I noticed a skein coming from the right. I wanted to yell at them to get lower so they would be in my photo but they listened without me saying a word. Looking at this picture gives me the same sense of serenity and peacefullness I felt as I watched the sun come up that morning.
