This morning the weather wasn’t the perfect sunny day that I like to have during a workshop, but where there is a camera in Vermont, there is a good picture to be made. We went up to Barnard, a cute little town just north of Woodstock. We photographed a pretty church but it wasn’t looking so great, the leaves had fallen on the big tree beside it, the light wasn’t great and there just wasn’t much color. As I was looking I was thinking that it might work as a black & white image. So I tried to accentuate the clouds and make my exposure help that goal.
When I got back and ran the image through Lightroom, I was able to make the conversion and bring out whites in the church and make the clouds look the way I envisioned them.
