Online free seminar: What should I focus on?

Event Details

  • From: January 11, 2022
  • To: December 1, 2021
  • Starting at: 07:00 PM
  • Finishing at: 08:00 PM

Knowing where to focus your camera can make huge difference in the outcome of your photo. In this free online seminar, I’ll talk about how to achieve maximum depth of field by picking the right place within the scene you are photographing. I’ll go over the different types of auto focus and what is best to use in different situations.

We’ll also talk about selective focus and when to throw the foreground or background out of focus. Many people use apps or depth of field focus calculators to help them get maximum focus, but I’ll tell you why those are not needed. I’ll show you how to simplify all of that.

We’ll get into focus stacking, which involves making multiple shots while focusing on different areas within your subject and then using Photoshop to stack them together to make an image that has more depth of field than you can get with one shot. The focus stacking process is easy, I’ll make available a step-by-step guide.
