SOLD OUT – Contact Loren to get on waitlist
The light from a small flash can make the difference between no picture and a good picture or, more importantly, between a good picture and a great picture. Pro photographer Loren Fisher will show you how to use your flash to get the results you’ve always wanted.
During this hands on workshop I’ll show you the controls and features of flashes, how they synchronize to your camera and techniques that will give your photos extra pop. You’ll learn exposure modes, flash modes and flash accessories and the importance of getting your flash off your camera. You’ll see the benefits of using multiple flashes, how to fire remote flashes and how to remotely control the flash’s output. You’ll see how to modify the light coming from your flash to create different moods and effects.
You’ll be using your flash indoors and outdoors during the workshop, seeing how using the flash as a main light or fill light can dramatically change the look of your images.
Call them what you want, Canon calls them speedlites but it’s speedlights according to Nikon. I’ve had flash guns, potato mashers, strobes, bare bulbs, light sticks and peanuts. But this workshop is about working with small, battery powered handheld flashes that are meant to attach to your camera’s hot shoe. We won’t be working with larger studio flashes or with the tiny flash built into some cameras.
You’ll be participating in fun exercises to help you learn by doing so bring your camera, flash, manuals for both, extra batteries and any flash accessories you may have.
Join us and learn how to take control of your flash and the many ways to enhance your creativity.
Maximum number of participants: 12
The limited number of participants is to assure you get personal help with your flash. This will sell out fast, so sign up right away.
